DMT TANNIX is a business intelligence offering of DM Tanner LLC (“TANNIX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Reports, estimates, scenarios, assessments, recommendations, website content, and communications are intended to help customers organize information and consider questions relevant to a business or commercial opportunity. They are not a substitute for the customer's own independent investigation or advice from qualified professionals who understand the customer's circumstances.
No promise of results
Business conditions change. Market demand, competitor activity, costs, regulations, customer behavior, financing conditions, and other factors may change after research is completed. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, commercial success, profitability, revenue, investment returns, funding, regulatory approval, or any particular outcome. Past performance or observed market activity does not guarantee future results.
Sources, estimates, and limitations
Our work may rely on public records, third-party websites, customer-provided information, published data, interviews or other sources that may contain errors, omissions, delays, or bias. We may not be able to independently verify every statement or data point. Reports should identify material assumptions, estimates, source limitations, and unanswered questions where reasonably practicable. Financial scenarios are illustrative models based on stated assumptions, not promises or guaranteed forecasts.
AI and technology
We may use AI-enabled and other software tools to assist with research organization, summarization, analysis, and drafting. Such tools can produce inaccurate or incomplete results. TANNIX applies a review process appropriate to the agreed scope, but human review does not make errors impossible and does not mean every source has been independently audited.
Customer responsibility
You are responsible for evaluating the information, confirming material facts important to your decision, obtaining independent professional advice where appropriate, and deciding whether to act. You should independently verify legal requirements, licensing, zoning, taxes, financing, insurance, permits, contracts, and other matters specific to your situation before committing resources.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TANNIX disclaims liability for decisions or actions taken in reliance on website content or research deliverables. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Terms & Conditions / Service Agreement
Last updated: November 5, 2026. These terms govern access to the TANNIX website and services offered by DM Tanner LLC. By submitting an inquiry, placing an order, or using a deliverable, you agree to the terms applicable to that interaction. A separate written proposal, order confirmation, or statement of work may add to or modify these terms for a specific engagement; if it conflicts with these general terms, the signed or accepted engagement-specific document controls for that engagement.
1. Services and scope
TANNIX offers research and business intelligence services, which may include opportunity screening, market and competitor research, business planning, scenario analysis, and ongoing monitoring. The precise deliverables, research depth, geography, number of competitors, timeline, format, exclusions, and fee will be described in the applicable service description or written scope confirmation. Work outside the agreed scope requires written approval and may involve additional fees.
2. Customer information and cooperation
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, identify relevant constraints, and respond to reasonable clarification requests. We may rely on information you provide and are not responsible for errors caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated customer-supplied information. Do not submit passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, confidential third-party information, or other sensitive data through general inquiry forms.
3. Research process and deliverables
We determine appropriate research methods based on the agreed scope and information reasonably available. Unless expressly included in writing, services do not include legal or accounting opinions, formal appraisals or valuations, audits, certified financial statements, engineering inspections, site inspections, guaranteed customer surveys, direct competitor outreach, legal due diligence, or verification of every third-party statement. Any interviews, outreach, site visits, paid data, or third-party expenses must be specifically agreed in writing.
4. Fees, payment, and taxes
Fees and payment timing will be shown at checkout or in the written proposal/order confirmation. Applicable taxes or third-party charges may be added where required or disclosed. Work begins when the applicable payment and required customer information have been received, unless the written scope says otherwise. Subscription services, if offered, will state their billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation method before purchase.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Any cancellation or refund terms specific to an order will be displayed before payment or included in the accepted proposal. If no special term is stated, contact us promptly at info@dmtanner.com to request cancellation. Once research or customized work has begun, fees may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law, except where a refund is required by law or expressly agreed in writing. This section does not limit any mandatory consumer rights.
6. Delivery and revisions
Estimated delivery dates are targets, not guarantees, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Delivery may depend on the availability of information and timely customer responses. Included revisions, if any, will be specified in the service description or proposal. A revision does not include a new research question, material scope expansion, or update for changed market conditions unless agreed separately.
7. Intellectual property and permitted use
After full payment, you may use the final customer-specific deliverable for your own internal business evaluation and decision-making. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, TANNIX retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, templates, frameworks, research processes, know-how, and generic materials. You may not resell, publish, distribute, sublicense, or represent a TANNIX report as your own commercial research product without our written permission. Third-party content remains subject to its original rights and terms.
8. Confidentiality
We will use reasonable care when handling non-public information you provide for an engagement and will use it to evaluate, perform, administer, and communicate about the requested services, subject to applicable law and the privacy notice. Do not provide information you are not authorized to share. Confidentiality does not apply to information that is public through no breach, already lawfully known, independently developed, or lawfully received from another source.
9. No professional advice; no guarantees
All deliverables are informational only and are subject to the Website & Research Disclaimer above. You should consult qualified legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, regulatory, and other professionals before acting where appropriate. TANNIX does not guarantee a particular outcome or that an opportunity is suitable for you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DM Tanner LLC and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost business opportunities, or losses arising from decisions made using the services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a particular engagement will not exceed the fees you paid to TANNIX for that engagement. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Third-party services and links
The website or service may use or link to third-party platforms, websites, data providers, payment processors, forms, or communication services. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
12. Suspension and termination
We may decline, suspend, or terminate an engagement where necessary to comply with law, protect security, address misuse, or where a customer materially breaches the agreed terms. Any payment consequences will be handled under the applicable order terms and law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Ohio, unless mandatory law provides another venue. This clause is subject to attorney review before launch.
14. Changes and contact

Information we may receive
Depending on the features you use, we may receive contact details such as your name and email address; information about the business opportunity or research request; communications and files you choose to provide; order, payment-status, and transaction details; and basic technical information collected by the website host or service providers. Payment card details should be handled by the payment processor and should not be sent to us through email or inquiry forms.
